About

My Story

Then…

I began practicing yoga in 2012, initially practicing yoga solely as a form of physical fitness. Over time my yoga practice evolved into a deeply personal and transformative journey. Yoga became more than a physical discipline. It became a refuge. One that helped me navigate the complexities of life, including the loss of my youngest child and traumatic health challenges that followed. These life-altering experiences led me to embrace yoga not just as a practice, but as a path toward healing, wholeness and greater spiritual connection. I immersed myself in meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, ayurveda and yoga philosophy as a I was drawn by the way that these teachings nurture not only the body, but the heart, mind, and soul as well.

My experience was both empowering and humbling at the same time. What began as a way for me to maintain my physical health, turned into a life changing journey and has now become a lifestyle. I began to appreciate these ancient yogic practices even more and felt a strong desire to share this realization with others, and received my yoga teacher training certification in 2022. Yoga has steadily served as a catalyst in my life for learning to value the significance of becoming familiar with my body, mind and spirit extensively as it relates to wellness, well-being, and maintaining a connection to something greater than myself. Yoga and meditation helped me move through those difficult times with grace and ease, and aided me in my desire to cultivate resilience and equanimity during a time when I was forced to accept a new way of being.

Yoga allows me an opportunity for self-inquiry, and to feel an interconnectedness with all. It is from this spiritual nourishment that I continue to be inspired to live and share the heart of yoga. I truly enjoy sharing the practices of yoga, and as a result of both my personal journey and my yoga journey, I have become inspired to practice and teach from the heart and do my best to honor the full intention of yoga.

Now…

I continue to evolve a both a yoga practitioner and teacher. I have been studying and taking yoga and meditation classes since 2019, and I have been teaching private yoga classes since 2023. I am also currently enrolled in classes to receive additional certifications in various yogic practices. As a yoga teacher with over 200+ hours of yoga teacher training, additional certifications and a background in psychology, social work, mental health, healthcare, and real estate along with my journey of loss and healing, I bring a wealth of patience, compassion, and care to my teachings as they have all helped shape the way that I connect with others to honor their stories, struggles and triumphs.

I consider myself to be a student of life first and foremost, and my yoga journey is an ongoing process of growth in motion. As a student of life I look forward to learning with each student, and as a yoga teacher I gratefully and humbly look forward to working them.

I am very passionate about helping others find nourishment for their whole being by embracing and embodying the essence of yoga, implementing a sustainable yoga practice and lifestyle, and upholding accessibility and inclusion in yoga. Sharing yoga brings me joy, and I am grateful for my teachers and esteemed stewards of yoga’s wisdom for their guidance, and for gifting me the courage to follow my passion and connect with wonderful people each week through the time-honored practice of yoga.

My yoga practice looks much different from when I first began practicing over a decade ago, and I strive to ensure that my teaching reflects that. I believe that yoga is a personal journey and that is what I hope my students not just feel when taking one of my classes, but embody as well. Salubrity and Soul Yoga is an extension of my enthusiasm for promoting taking care of the body, mind, heart and spirit and nourishing the deepest parts of being – and I can’t wait to share that with you.

In my spare time you might find me out in nature, walking, gardening, hiking, biking, preparing for a 5k, cooking, listening to music, dancing, playing piano, enjoying photography, watching movies, and spending time with family.
